Fantastic tour; Ale was super knowledgeable and shared so many facts and tips about the city and the market areas we visited. This is a great thing to do at the start of your trip to familiarize you with the city, take the subway and get lots of recommendations for restaurants, bars, etc.
The food was varied and delicious, great vegetarian alternatives. I love that they are woman owned and support local girls from the market (Camila did a great job on her part of the tour). Highly recommend to anyone visiting!

Amazing food tour, one of the best we've ever taken. Carla was wonderful and took us all over the city by Metro. It really helped to orient and she provided many recommendations for places to visit while we're here. We had some of the best and most unique tacos we've ever had. Not to be missed!

We had a wonderful tour. It's a great way to see the city and eat delicious food! Our guide was very energetic and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Our group enjoyed our eat like a local tour. We did it on our first full day and it was a great introduction to the city! Maria was our wonderful tour guide. She connected with everyone in our group of six and sent some personal recommendations of things to do afterwards! Definitely recommend, it’s an awesome way to support local vendors as well as try some new foods in spots we ordinarily wouldn’t venture towards.

Truly, eat like a local! We enjoy going on food tours when traveling abroad. But we have come to realize not all food tours are worthwhile - but this one was. Our amazing guide, Lorenza Landeta, was enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. We visited smaller places I could not have known about on my own. Included in the tour were tacos, tortas, tamales, tequila, pulque, and churros. All delicious. My favorite were the tortas. The tour included getting on the metro bus which at first I wondered how this would work with a group, but ended up being not a problem at all. In fact I appreciated the experience so that later on during our trip we knew the bus protocols. Lorenza offered a well balanced tour of walking, talking, and eating. I would certainly take another food tour with Eat Like a Local.

Panda was an incredible host and her knowledge of the history and cuisine of Mexico City was fantastic. The food was also amazing and the price is absolutely worth it. You can’t go wrong with this tour and it is a must if you are traveling to the city.

This tour exceeded my expectations in all respects. Our guide (Plaqueta) was so warm and outgoing (and with English better than my American English). The other staff were also excellent. They took us to such great places that felt off the beaten track. And everything was delicious! Also my 13-year-old son was given a lot of attention and had a great time. My only complaint is that I ate too much. I recommend skipping breakfast and good pacing!

The food tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico City! Elisa was a wonderful guide and a great source of information about Mexico City's food, neighborhoods, culture and transportation system. All the food we tasted was delicious and she expertly spaced out every stop so that we were not overstuffed. We loved that the tour included food from multiple types of vendors, including cafés, markets and street vendors. We particularly loved that Eat Like a Local actively and meaningfully gives back to the market communities we visited.

Si amas la comida y te gusta conocer una ciudad a través de su street food, este tour es un must. No solo pruebas platillos increíbles, sino que también descubres rincones de la Ciudad de México que normalmente pasarías por alto. La curaduría de los puestos es perfecta: vas de lo tradicional a lo más inesperado (¡sí, hasta escorpión!).
Algo que me sorprendió fue la parada en la estación Candelaria del metro, que nunca hubiera visitado por mi cuenta, pero terminó siendo súper interesante. Y en cuanto a comida, mi taco favorito fue el de chorizo verde en el Mercado de Jamaica—una locura de sabor.
Las guías son lo máximo, súper amables y con muchísima información. Yo hice el tour para celebrar mi precumpleaños con amigos y fue la manera más original de hacerlo. Si buscan una experiencia diferente en CDMX, no lo piensen dos veces. ¡Vayan con hambre!

Hi, we have a group of 6 that includes two vegans, someone with Celiac (who must eat gluten free), and three without restrictions. Does the tour make sense for us, or will the vegans and person with Celiac be excluded to an extent that it does not make sense for them to come?

I got good food for celiacs. You will be ok, I had a girlf gluten feee with severe allergy, dairy free and peanut free and she was fine. :)

Is it too ambitious to do the market tour and night tour on the same day? Also, around where does the night tour end?

Well depends, I had like 16 people that have done it. Both are completely different and I can give you smaller portions so you can eat everything.
I think that with both tours you'll get a great picture of the city. The night tour includes drop-off at condesa, Roma, or historic district, or other central areas.

Hey! We use the subway for the Mexican food 101 tour, I had once a baby with a stroller, and was sine but we will need to carry the stroller through the stairs I don't know I you would mind. For the Mexican wine tour we just walk and I always have babies (my dog sometimes comes if you want and is great for babies). You can bring as many people as you want I'll make the tour private for you.
