We booked a bespoke trip to Song Kul via Nomads Yurt.
The trip was well priced was outsourced to a local private guide, whose english wasn't bad and he was extremely helpful. Generally speaking communications were good beforehand and the custom itinerary put together was excellent.
However the trip was ruined because of the fact that the car that we were supplied was clearly completely inadequate. It was far too small for 5 adults and didn't look like it would get up a small hill let alone the mountain we needed to get up. Nomads Yurt said they were unable to source an adequate car, and at this point Nomads Yurt should have cancelled our trip, rather than potentially put our lives at risk.
Sure enough, the car struggled down the highway, and thankfully it broke down before we got to a remote area - we didn't need to walk too far to get mobile signal to call the operator. However we still needed to wait several hours by the side of the road for a new car as we were several hours from Bishkek. There was no water supplied so thank goodness we did not have to wait too long.
When a new car finally came, it was a wreck, though thankfully an adequately powered wreck. The windscreen was smashed and there were no seatbelts... a problem when the road up to the mountain is extremely bumpy. One of us sustained a head injury when driving over a bumpy part of the road. We demanded a second replacement car... we were told it would be provided when we left Song Kul, but this did not happen, we did not get a new car until we had done both the ascent and descent.
Because of the delay, and despite the efforts to catch up time by the driver, the yurt camp had given our rooms away assuming we were a no show.. Thankfully they found a yurt for us and they were very pleasant to us despite the late arrival. It would have not been fun sleeping in that car.
I appreciate this is probably just a one-off mistake by the operator, but having done the tour, I do not see how an experienced tour operator could have felt the car supplied was capable of getting up to Song Kul safely. The tour was spectacular, but this experience leaves a sour taste.

Nurgul, the owner of the company is amazing. Right from planning the trip to execution, it was perfect.
I was pretty involved with her during the planning stages. She highlighted the right things about each trip. We undertook 4 day trips from Bishkek and all of them were wonderful
Barpa, was our friend, guide and driver on all the days. He speaks good English and is aware of the places. Wasn’t hesitant to modify a bit to suit our needs. Was there always on time. Had a great time together.
Overall, a great trip organized by Nurgul. Would highly recommend that you get in touch with her before your trip to Bishkek. It can be different and economical.

In July 2022 we rented a car from Nomad's Yurt for a 10-day trip round Kyrgyzstan. Nurgul was brilliant and extremely helpful in getting everything set up and ready beforehand, incluing the license translation which meant no need for an international driving license. She was also really helpful and understanding with regard to last minute change of flights that Air Astana imposed on us.
On our trip all went well until the second last day when we suffered a second puncture in far-flung Song-Kul. Nomad's Yurt were then available on the phone and spent a lot of time talking to the owner of our yurt camp, and came up with some good solutions that eventually got us our fourth tyre repaired and full of air so we were able to get back to Bishkek in one piece. They are a small but very friendly and helpful company how are easy to deal with and we'd definitely use them again when we return to Kyrgyzstan. Many thanks to everyone we dealth with, especially Nurgul.

Highly recommended!
Nurgel organized everything to the last detail and was very reflexible and accessible during the planning and the trip itself.
She was very patience and did everything to help us plan the trip.
Arstan, the guy that actually guided us was amazing!
His English is very good, he is knowledgeable, polite and super nice.

I had an excellent tour of Bishkek with tour guide Boobek. He was a young and enthusiastic tour guide, with very good English language skills and wide knowledge about Kyrgyzstan history, culture and traditions. I highly recommend Nomads Yurt and Boobek!

We contacted Nomads Yurt in early June 2022 to arrange car rental for our visit to Kyrgyzstan in July 2022. They were great for helping with the car and really prompt and helpful, sorting us out for what we needed.
But I am really writing this review as they also helped me to sort out our air tickets from Astana to Bishkek via Almaty. I had problems doing this myself on Air Astana's website but Nomads Yurt sorted it out in about an hour, getting the tickets and sending them through. Then, 10 days before departure, when the damn airline changed one of the flights and turned a 4hr stopover in Almaty into a 24hr one, Nomads Yurt got on the case and helped us to rebook to a slightly different ticket so we did not lose a day in Almaty. Everyone we dealt with was brilliant and big thanks especially to Nurgul, who answered emails and messages almost instantly every time and did all the hard work, on the phone to the airline. Nothing was too much trouble; they were terrific. A great company to deal with. I will write another review about the car after the trip. But in the meantime, great service for sure.

We had a fantastic day tour to Dordoi Bazaar, Burana Tower, and lunch with a local family. This tour is a perfect, relaxed experience. If you are looking for a tour in which you have individual conversations throughout the day with your tour guide and driver then this is the tour for you. Our guides were so friendly and kind. The amount of conversation is dependent on you, the visitor. The guides are happy to answer questions and share perspectives and history. This was a wonderful day.

The tour was absolutely amazing. My tour guide Nurgul showed me so many places around Bishkek, had a friendly disposition and spoke excellent English. Highly recommended.

Our last minute trip to Bishkek was made more unforgettable because of Nomads Yurt Tour. They were very quick to reply with our queries and offered us varieties of tour packages and explained everything regarding the tour. While we’re on our to the different places we went to, Nour explained to us the history, traditions and trivia of the places. Accomodation and food were great just what we needed and more. They took care of all our needs during the tour and kind enough to accompany us when we brought souvenirs and stuff. I’m definitely coming back and would contact Nomads Yurt. I would also recommend them 100% to my friends who are planning to visit Bishkek so they will also experience wonderful Bishkek with a wonderful tour.
