We passed the Logan Canyon Scenic Byways many times on the way to Bear Lake from SLC.the whole mountain side was red and yellow in Fall colours with tall conifers jutting in between. The entire 38 miles road passes flanked by beaver mountains on one side and Logan river on the other.
There are many camp grounds and day picnic areas.
Carry your own food and water, there are no stops on the way

Utah Skiing is world renowned. And Beaver Mountain is one of the very best ski resorts on the Utah map. It caters to the family, not to the 'rich and famous'. Great ski conditions. Excellent lifts. Well groomed and well marked trails. I've been skiing the 'beave' for over 30 years. Still a favorite.

I LOVE BEAVER MT!! It is owned and operated by locals and it shows. I have been skiing the Beav for over 20 years. It is one of the few resorts in Utah that didn't change with the Olympics. They have awesome runs, awesome prices, and the most friendly staff.

We booked Beaver Mountain after discovering the listing as an RV campground available near Logan where our friends live. My husband and I are on a 3 week journey and I have tried to book unique spots along the way and thought this place fit the bill.
We arrived early afternoon and we were warmly welcomed once we figured out where to go. We might have missed something but we did not easily find where to register upon arrival- there was a delivery person at the lodge who pointed us in the direction of the campground host trailer- had we turned the corner we would have seen it but logic told us to stop at the lodge in the absence of signs. At the host trailer I wonder if it would be helpful to have a sign saying to knock if there is no one readily or visibly available?
The sites are basically in the parking lot and there are full hookups- power, water, sewer. I have noticed that RVer's like having cable available so if you are looking for cable here, you will not find it and really nor should you- despite this being a 'parking lot', you are on a beautiful mountain with pristine views of all the beauty that mountains bring! Just stunning.
The camp hosts are so helpful and the price was totally reasonable- $25/night. We are relatively new to RV'ing and the process of backing into a site is anxiety provoking but our host was so generous with his time and supported both ,my husband and myself in practicing the art Of the back-in. There are public bathrooms available but the lodge is off limits. We were content to use our own bathroom in the trailer. Pets are welcome on a leash of course.
The site is about 30 minutes from Logan on highway 89- it is a truly scenic drive- absolutely gorgeous!!!
There is no cell service on the mountain but there is free and reliable WiFi with a strong signal.
We would definitely stay here again!

A great day of skiing at the Beav! Anyone visiting during the winter should take advantage of this lovely little resort. Great runs, no lines, fabulous snow, & lots of fun. Oh, and did I mention the super inexpensive lift tickets & lessons?

Fewer people on the hill; less expensive; same excellent snow as elsewhere - and boatloads of snow! Real camaraderie among the skiers. The upper parking lot often has "tailgaters", while the lower parking lot has some - not quite so many. Dogs welcome in parking lot, though not in the lodge (of course!)

Awesome local ski resort. Hills extend from the top of the mountain peak down to the lodge and base of lifts. It's an older resort, but has plenty of great snow to look at! I love to ski here. Great value.

Not a lot of lines, super friendly people and they take great care of their snow. Nothing man made so none of that yuck snow.

I love snowboarding here. The staff is friendly, the trails are diverse, there are rarely crowds, the tickets are reasonable, and the snow is good. I go as often as possible!

Lovely drive from Logan. The scenery was breath-taking. Only one problem - there aren't many places to pull off the road for pictures. Suggest you continue on to the Bear Lake Overlook.

They have a very nice Yurt that can be rented. The yurt is located near the parking area and has great access to the mountain. Garden City, Utah is a 15 minute drive and also has great accommodations. Logan, Utah is about 30 minutes away. They do have night skiing but better call ahead as sometimes the resort is rented out for private night ski parties.
