Great entertainment for all ages!

We came to Jackson with 3 families (friends) and had 7 total children ages 5-10. The place was wonderfully decorated, the staff were friendly and hospitable. They accommodated our children well, with chicken tenders, fries, and vanilla ice cream! We were looking forward to the show but did not expect to see the talent we ended up seeing!! The cast were very talented and had ALL of us laughing and smiling for a full hour. We will definitely come back to see another show next time we return to Jackson!

Preserving Jackson Hole

We did not have tickets, but decided to hang around in case there were any no shows because of the weather. What luck! Mrs. Vicki, the owner and producer, waited until dinner was already being served and invited us in on a cancelation. Mrs. Vicki personally greeted and visited with each guest, and what a wonderful story she has! It is so wonderful to see a local who still owns and runs her business, preserving some of the personality that made us love Jackson Hole in the first place.

Christmas dinner theatre

Really fun night attending the Christmas Dinner theatre at the Jackson Hole Playhouse. Walked in for the “happy hour” where they offered a few snacks and an array of holiday cocktails or other beverages (for a charge). They eventually came to seat you at your table where your server would take your order and additional drinks. About 1.5hours into it they would help you turn toward the area where the show would take place and then start the entertainment. I will say the entertainers (who are also your servers and bartender) are great. They are a bunch of talented actors who come to Jackson to perform! Overall the food was some of the best we had on our trip and the owner/manager was quite hospitable. The only thing I will say- and not negative- is that they really aren’t too clear on the fact that the dessert isn’t included (no mention of $ on menu when drinks have cost next to them and the tenderloin clearly states up charge) and that the 20% gratuity is on both the food and the cost of the show paid ahead of time. We didn’t mind paying the full gratuity as it was really a wonderful show, but I do think the fact dessert was an up charge and the gratuity was on the entire cost - including prepaid show cost- could have been more clear! I would 100% recommend attending the dinner show but it could be helpful to be aware of a few things beforehand to avoid any surprises.

Came across this Playhouse while visiting the town of Jackson

While looking for nightly things to do we walked upon the Jackson Hole Playhouse and decided to join them for a Dinner Show. BEST decision we made. The food was great and serviced by the performers we would later see in the show. And about the show...WOW is the best way to describe our experience! The ensemble cast were amazing with singing and comedy. It was beyond our expectations. The kind of show you wish would have lasted longer. Truly a very talented cast. I would highly recommend joining them and experiencing this for yourself. It is a must do for us when we return the Jackson!!

Entertaining evening with dinner and Cat Ballou

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner (Cornelia's Bison Meatloaf) with great waitstaff. The Adventures of Cat Ballou was defintely a zany western romp with a terrific cast. Definitely recommend the Playhouse to Jackson visitors who enjoy theatre.

Fun Time @ the Playhouse

What a fun way to spend the evening. The food was just fabulous! The 16oz ribeye was largest steak I had ever seen and I live in Texas! The staff was super nice and the play (The Ballad of Cat Ballou) was awesome! The cast had us laughing and clapping the entire time! I will definitely go back and see another production.

Dinner & Show...LOVED IT !!!

Saw the show, "Cat Ballou"....AMAZING !!! All the performers were outstanding and this show will have you laughing the whole way through. I would see this show again & again.

Fantastic performance, small intimate theatre. HIghly recommend the dinner component as well. Charming , fun, funny evening. Food was delicious. The actors are the servers and then show up on stage. You could not ask for a sillier, different evening if you are spending a few days in Jackson Hole. A perfect show for being in the West ! You can just do the show but do both and take in the whole atmosphere. Quality package.

Fun outing

This was a fun outing that we decided to do while on vacation in the area. The food was great. The wait staff sing during the dinner and they are also the actors in the play. We were a group of 6 and all enjoyed our food. We also enjoyed Paint Your Wagon and thought the entire cast did a great job.

What a Wonderful Experience!

Wonderful experience! We bring our youth group here weekly and are always amazed by the professionalism and family friendly atmosphere. We’d give it 10 stars if we could! Kids enjoyed and was age appropriate! The play house is amazing!

What’s the dress code for the dinner theater ?

No dress code that I could tell. Some people were dressed up. Some had on shorts and a t-shirt.

Is this suitable for small children - age 2?

I think young children would be bored, I know my children(if younger) would be. It would not spark their interest and I think you would be taking care of them versus watching the play

If we were to come here in August for the dinner and show, would we be able to watch the shootout in the town square and still make it dinner on time? I’ve read the shootout lasts 15-45 min? Not sure which time is correct. Dinner on the website says at 6:30. We are only in Jackson one night so just trying to figure it out to try to be able to do both... does it matter if we are a little late for dinner or strict timeframe?

Will there be shows in May 2018? Memorial Day weekend?

Hi Friends, Thank you for your request, however, our show will not open until the following week June 1st. The "Shoot Out" on the Town Square will open that weekend. So Please come see us there. are seats in row B, behind the orchestra good seats or will I not be able to see over the instruments and the conductor? Can I change seats if these suck? Will it be too loud? Anyone??

It is a small playhouse and there are no bad seats. There is plenty of room between the rows for longer legs. No orchestra - just a very lively "saloon" piano player. Put yourself back 150 years in a small western town, sit back, and enjoy.
