Matheus was a fantastic host for our The Castle game this evening. The room was very immersive, puzzles were well thought out and items were in good repair. I loved the fact we were not truly locked into the game. It is very good that owners care about our safety enough to ensure we could leave if an emergency arose and thus we were not in danger.
If you’ve never played an escape game before, I would strongly suggest you make Quest Factor the first. You’ll have a great experience and want to do more. Seattle has a large number of games to try.
We were in town for a conference and wanted to play a game. We were having difficulty finding an ER company that was open on Monday. Quest Factor filled the need and showed they cared about customers enough to be open when customers wanted to play.
The fact that this game was private and not public without a higher fee was really awesome. We had a newbie that we were introducing to the world of Escape Rooms and we know she would not have had as good of an experience if we were forced into a public game experience. This would have meant we were playing with people we didn't know. We loved the private experience so that we could play just with our group!
Well done Quest Factor!

Going through and updating my old reviews as we move them over to our new stack rank website, TheRoomRank. Check it out to see how these rooms compare to the other 125+ rooms we've done across the United States.
Looking back at my old review after doing about a hundred more rooms, yikes. I definitely overrated these rooms quite a bit the first time around. With experience, I have learned that good sets are a dime a dozen in escape rooms, and that as you do more rooms with amazing sets, older rooms with good sets start to feel more like just standard escape rooms. Rooms that I like now generally provide a unique experience through a very good story, memorable puzzles, ridiculous set, or interesting gameplay. These Quest Factor rooms sadly rely a lot on their set to be memorable, and while they're above average, the rest of the game was average enough to make these rooms feel like very standard escape rooms to a jaded enthusiast.
The Omescape comparison in particular was a bit embarrassing in hindsight, as Omescape's rooms have significantly better puzzles, hint system, and game flow.
Da Vinci - mid 3/5. The better of the two rooms we did here, we remember the set being decent and the puzzles being okay (again, it's been a year and they were standard so I don't really remember any of them).
The Castle - low 3/5. This room has fallen a quite a bit simply because we remember some of the puzzles here being very search heavy and uninteresting compared to the ones in Da Vinci.
(Previous Review)
Did both Da Vinci and the Castle in a group of 2. Both of us are fairly experienced and have done ~15 rooms each across the Bay Area. We escaped from Castle in 52 minutes having used 2 hints for 2 hidden objects that we couldn't find. Also escaped from Da Vinci in 60 minutes (we were at the last lock and had the key but couldn't open it properly) using one hint for one major puzzle, and one panic hint for a puzzle we probably could have solved but were running low on time.
If any of you have been to the Bay Area, the rooms here remind me a lot of the rooms in Omescape. The rooms here have pretty good tech, some fun and novel puzzles with the tech, and generally high production value overall. Lighting was surprisingly a big issue for me though: certain areas in the rooms just weren't very well lit, and while thematically it made sense, being unable to read clues well in the room was fairly annoying, and overall detracted from the experience as a whole.
Like Omescape, you should expect these rooms to be very good and above average escape rooms, but not something that will amaze and awe you. For some reason these rooms are lacking that certain something like the set design in Locurio's Storykeeper or the very innovative puzzles in Palace Games, which are what I consider to be the top tier of escape rooms. Still, these are some pretty solid rooms, and good enough for me to go to the other locations and binge. The hint system is very generous and flexible, so both beginners and experienced people should enjoy the rooms. Experienced people will probably want to bring 3-5 people, since there isn't enough content for the full 8.

Excellent facilities and unique challenges. Service was exceptional. Not a single lock or key in this one. The puzzles were challenging and followed a logical
sequence. Great design!

We went to the National Treasure room and it was AMAZING. Everything was very detailed and felt very real, and there were just enough red-herrings to throw us off and make it difficult without making it impossible. We wound up not finishing but since the afternoon was open the worker (Harrison) let us finish after our hour was up and helped us where we were stuck since we were literally one clue from the end. I cannot recommend Quest Factor enough. I plan to come back for more rooms!

We went to this escape room while in spring break, with our family of 4 with two teen boys. We went to both rooms at the location by the University. Da Vinci and Castle. They have an electronic method of providing clues where you can get a clue every 5 minutes. This would be a nice options for people who may be trying an escape room for the first time. They have some neat locks that a different and true to the theme. Additionally, they had some unique puzzles. I can't tell you much else about the rooms without ruin the experience.
For those who are new to escape rooms, it's basically a 3-D set of puzzles. So if you like board games and puzzles - you'll like these. You are not really "locked" in the room because that is a fire hazard, but you are asked to stay in the room during the experience. We enjoy them because it give us a great conversation with our teens which is a hard thing to come by.
Tips for first timers - the first part of any room is usually a seek-n-find. When you find something - announce it to the room. Communication is also a key part. You'll find that different people are good at different types of puzzles, so if you are stuck, run the puzzle by someone else in the room. Try things that are obvious, and always try clues backwards and forwards on a lock. When you book your first room, ask about the escape rates (sometimes they are posted). I usually recommend a room that either has unlimited clues (some rooms have this) or a room with an escape rate over 30%. Have fun!

This was our first escape room and we had a blast. We did the Pirates of the Caribbean. We even made it out with seconds to spare. The puzzles were just hard enough for our group of 4. Can't wait to do another one.

My husband, our friends and I went to the Quest Factor in Shoreline. We did the National Treasure room and I have to say... thank goodness for the unlimited hints because this one was difficult. Unfortunately we didn’t escape, but since we were literally one puzzle away from escaping, I count that as a win! Ha! We’ve been to a few escape rooms before and we really enjoyed this one. The puzzles were challenging, the host was energetic and he was great at giving us hints. He’d lead us to the right direction, without giving us the answer, and we’d solve it from there. But the best part of this experience was that it’s a private room. So you get to play with only your group. Sure the more players the easier the room is to solve, if each of you individually tackle a puzzle... however, sometimes it’s better with a more intimate group as it doesn’t get so chaotic and confusing. Also it helps when you’re working with only people you know. We’ve played with strangers before and have played in various private rooms and I find it much easier to get through the puzzles and the experience when it’s a private room.
The cost of this room is par to all the other escape rooms we’ve played before. However, I do recommend checking Groupon since that’s how we paid and it was a significantly lower price.
We hope to visit again and play all the other rooms in all of the Quest Factor locations. The Shoreline location was a little hidden but not hard to find. We appreciated the fact that they provided lockers and even had a coffee machine and water that you can enjoy before or after your escape. Although I’d recommend drinking after! You don’t want to waste time having to pause and go to the restroom.
There was plenty of head scratching, but we had a blast figuring out the challenging puzzles and so I highly recommend this place!

Enjoyed the challenges and the creativity that went into these rooms. I like the process of what it takes to get hints when needed and our moderator was very energetic. He was also very cute. Just to put that out there.

We chose the Bank Heist and it was FABULOUS! We had four teens/young adults along with my husband and I which made for a perfect group of smarties to get the job done -- ALMOST! While we waited as long as possible to ask for clues, they get harder as time goes on, so it takes a lot of concentration and thinking outside the box. We didn't break all the codes and escape in time, but we did have a great experience at Quest Factor and would definitely go back. Fun for the family, a party, group date, co-worker challenge ... The staff is so helpful and the facility is well managed; we were very impressed with their customer service. Overall, a fantastic night!

Quest Factor in Redmond has several rooms to experience and more under construction. They put a lot of effort into creating immersive experiences that match the different themes and include a nice variety of puzzles to solve.
Our group of three was the right size for the escape rooms, though four would have been fine, too. We successfully escaped from the Pirates of the Caribbean room just barely in time. The dark atmosphere and the ocean sound enhanced the feeling of being on a pirate ship. We appreciated the lamps that helped us see the puzzles.
We experienced a technical difficulty in the Bank Heist where one of the puzzles didn't work properly. The staff gave us a discount coupon to return and try it again. We intend to do so. This room is much more challenging, but since we've been through part of it, we have confidence in succeeding the second time.
