If you are looking for something out of the ordinary then this is the place. We had such fun looking through the various items and gems. The host was super friendly and informative. Will popin again next time we are nearby

I love the crystal cave and I'm so glad to see it's listed on trip advisor! I have been there many times to look for anything from crystals to essential oils and the owner is so knowledgeable and always ready to help. The atmosphere of the place is amazing and if I'd be allowed, I'd probably want to live there! The crystals have a very calming effect and the new addition of a secondhand shop adjacent to the cave is a nice bonus. My partner can browse the second hand goodies and antiques while I immerse myself in the beautiful crystals on offer.

Crystals are a very personal thing and you will either love it or hate it.
The owner was very helpful and we found what we were looking for. There are some hidden treasures in the shop and some very well priced crystals compared to prices charged in the city.
The owner provided us with a flyer of the properties of the crystals as well and it helped the kids as well as they were looking for their birth stones as it was their birthday week.
There is also a beautiful selection of bamboo and cotton yarn in store, a lot of costume-type jewelry and beads and everything you need to make your own jewelry.
They also have a very wide selection of succulents on sale which on its own might attract a few people not interested in the crystals.
The owner was very helpful and we found what we were looking for. There are some hidden treasures in the shop and some very well priced crystals compared to prices charged in the city.

Lovely little shop with Gemstones, Succulents and other little treasures. Very reasonably priced. Super customer service and really lovely people (Mandy (owner) and her daughter had been there on the day). Thanks for the lovely chat! Highly recommended little shop for anyone with a love for crystals, semi-precious and some precious gemstones! Definitely worth a visit.

Broad range of stock, very reasonably priced. Easy enough to find due to the sign boards. Not on the same scale as Magic Minerals in Tulbagh, but better value for money and a more knowledgeable sales person. Snapscan available as a payment option.

On my way to Ceres (on Friday afternoon)I decided to pop in at Crystal Caves because I needed some ideas on novelties to make to raise funds for charity. I took along some of the stuff I had bought weeks ago (in Cape Town) and The Owner (Mandy) was very helpful in giving "free advice" i.e. what / how it could work.
My intentions are to make bracelets for ladies and keyrings (although a Novice) for men. I bought some lovely charms at a reasonable price (in my opinion) to make keyrings.
The little shop looks untidy because Mandy makes/sells jewellery, various keyrings and beads and has a big variety of precious stones/rocks. Lots to browse.
Since I've last been she now also sells wool and Aloe products. As she doesn't have card facilities do take along cash.
I was so chaffed with my purchases that I forgot to take my Aloe Ferox juice. I told her that I would be passing through again on Monday. Unfortunately she is close/away on Mondays and I asked if she could leave it somewhere else for me to collect.

The lady who runs the place, which is to be found along with a large range of cacti and succulents is very helpful. The shop is to be found in what looks like the garage of a block of holiday flats.
There are a smallish selection of minerals, along with a scratch-patch selection of polished stones. We did find the Purple Fluorite we were looking for, but there are better Crystal shops in Phillippi, Simon's Town and the Waterfront

The Crystal Cave is an enchanting, magical little place heaving with treasures and beautiful things. You will be delighted by the mesmerizing collections of all sorts of happy things - plants, succulents, crystals, beads, jewellery, gifts, art and more...Mandy, the owner, has an abundance of knowledge about plants, their natural uses and will tell you all sorts of amazing things about essential oils. A visit to the cave is like yoga for the soul. And if you get there on time on a Friday morning you will be able to buy the most gigantic fresh Proteas for just R40 a bunch!
So if you are looking for something very special as well as an unforgettable experience, you don't want to miss this.

We accidentally came across the Crystal Cave while staying in Tulbagh, and were enchanted by this lovely little shop. We browsed amongst the many beautiful crystals, and purchased a few crystals and other items. The owner kindly gave me some pieces of an indoor plant that I had been unable to find elsewhere, and as she was still in the process of propagating them, did not charge me for it. A wonderfully interesting little store, perfect for whiling away an hour (or two). We really enjoyed our visit. Well recommended if you are into this sort of thing and even if you are not, you are sure to find that special gift or souvenir you have been searching for, to take home.

I reviewed Alfa apartments not so long ago but failed to mention Crystal caves which is at the bottom.
When I came home (I stayed at Alfa) from the festivities (Christmas in Winter) in the Town, the Crystal Caves Shop was open and there were two other ladies. I went in to greet and had such a lovely time chatting to the 80 year mother and her daughter who had walked up from the Town. Whoever walks in there will leave as a "friend" They bought plants from the succulent nursery but I bought a beautiful semi precious stone necklace. There is so much too see. You can buy crystals and stones of different sizes, necklaces, key rings and different charms. I had to resist buying plants because some are beautifully displayed at the entrance. Chrystal Caves also have a nursery with a big selection. When the other ladies left after refusing a lift back to the Town, I asked Mandy (the owner) advice about a bracelet (similar to the necklace I had just purchased). I wanted to know if I could restring it (because I can never tie the clasp) without damaging the semi precious stones. Her advice was instead of restringing why not use a magnetic clasp and then of course because it was so small said there is no charge. I browsed some more and ended up buying some animal charms to make up my own key rings. Every item you buy are placed in a little drawstring bag. I would suggest visiting and like me you will not leave empty handed
