Overall fantastic experience, cozy, clean, comfortable room. Off the main highway. Cynthia was very accommodating and went the extra mile to provide us a delicious raspberry/chocolate anniversary dessert. Hagrid, the keeper of the grounds, was a very lovable, unexpected treat, very sweet dog. My husband enjoyed the shower; he is a big man and the shower was modern and set up to accommodate his hard to please expectations. One of the most pleasant anniversary stay overs that we have experienced. Thank you again, Cynthia and Hagrid!
Cynthia is very cool and a great host and the room had everything one could need. Very interesting and eclectic artwork and decor, which were fantastic. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone coming to stay in Idaho City!
My friend and I each rented a room here before our biking trip on the Idaho Hot Springs Route. Cynthia was a great host and had two well appointed rooms for our stay. She was very helpful in our logistics planning as she was very kind in letting us leave our vehicle on site. On the morning of our departure for the ride, she had fresh baked cinnamon rolls and coffee waiting for us. Idaho City was a nice spot to start and end the route. The Cottonwood Street Inn and Cynthia helped us greatly in having a great place to sleep the night before our journey and was a welcomed oasis on our return from the trip. She is very good at making recommendations and was a life saver in finding us a taxi in the backwoods.
It has been a remarkable transition from the day Cottonwood Street Inn B&B was purchased - to a return visit in May. The restoration of this quaint historic inn includes updated bathrooms with luxurious accents and clean sparkling surfaces everywhere. Upgraded windows along with modern “mini-split” heating and cooling provide the quiet comforts of home. While the rooms are modest in size, the hospitality is welcoming and warm. I enjoyed a tasty breakfast followed by a 4-mile hike through the nearby tall pines. In fact, the town of Idaho City and the surrounding area are the best reasons to stay at Cottonwood Street Inn. I can attest to some of the best motorcycle roads anywhere. Don’t forget close-by stops such as the Gold Mine Bar and Grill and The Springs, a delightful hot springs spa with pool and private hot tubs. Seems in any season, Idaho City is a great outdoor playground! Having stayed in several B&B’s and even owned one, I can highly recommend Cottonwood Street Inn. You will have to keep a sharp eye to spot the street sign leading to its quiet location just off the highway. But it’s a short walk to most anything in this remarkable mountain town. Fun! Lee…
